ISESCO Director General Urges Islamic Countries to Pay Due Attention to Educational and Scientific Development

Azerbaijan,Trend News corr. J.Babayeva/ ISESCO Director General urged on Islamic countries to pay due attention to development of education and science.

Islamic countries must pay due attention to development of education and science so as to keep step with development of the international community, ISESCO Director General Abdulaziz Bin Othman Altwaijri said at the international conference of ISESCO countries' education and science ministers in Baku on 6 October.

From 6 to 8 October, Azerbaijani Education Ministry and ISESCO will hold in Baku the 4th conference of Islamic countries' education and science ministers.

"The higher education must be developed, for that is the initial phase in development of any field required for development of state on the whole," he said.

Altwaijri also urged to pay special attention to introduction of IT in the education field.

Strategic development of higher education and science in Islamic countries is one of the key priorities of the conference.

Ministers of education and science from 50 countries are in attendance. The event will discuss important problems, which the education field of Muslim countries is facing, and the ways to eliminate them.
