Nuevitas--The promoters and instructors of art of the House of Culture "La Avellaneda", of this riverside city, work in a wide-ranging educational-cultural program dedicated to children and young people as part of the healthy recreation and for the increasing of the general culture.

Among the main actions there is a conference about the revolutionary life of the student leader Julio Antonio Mella, so that through history books and pamphlets, to know more about the Martyr that gave his life for the independence of Cuba.

Others of the motivations setting in practice are the workshops of plastic arts, in which boys and girls use the drawing to reflect the problems related with the environment.

These artistic movements have the main objective to stimulate the art in the children, and also, to cultivate in them the love and the care of the nature, according to the information given by Yosvani Piloto, director of the House of Culture "La Avellaneda", of Nuevitas.
