CAIRO: A Kuwaiti official stressed that selection of educational institutions for Kuwaiti students abroad is based on scientific standards and criteria.
Cultural advisor at Kuwait Embassy here Dr. Abdulaziz Safar told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that students will not be allowed to join some Egyptian institutes, since their programs are being assessed. He noted this is done regularly to guarantee the quality of education that is being imparted to the students.
He pointed out that he visited several Egyptian universities and institutes where Kuwaiti students have applied too, stressing that both the Kuwaiti and Egyptian parties are keen on the quality of education provided.
Meanwhile, Safar praised the National Assembly''s educational committee which he met on June, and thanked the Minister of Education and Higher Education Nouriya AlÜSubaih, Higher Education Undersecretary Dr. Rasha AlÜSabah, the ministry''s employees, and workers at the cultural office at Kuwait Embassy in Cairo for their efforts in assisting around 16,000 Kuwaiti students studying in Egypt.
He also thanked Egyptian Higher Education Minister Dr. Hani Helal and heads of universities here. ÜKUNA
