Alternattiva Demokratika (AD) has voiced its approval of the current educational reform proposed by government. The proposed changes include a reform to the Junior Lyceum examination system and removing the policy of streaming adopted in local primary schools.

AD said that it had advocated such reforms for years and that the removal of Junior Lyceum examinations would greatly benefit the entire educational field. They believe that the proposed changes should make the transition from primary to secondary schools a lot smoother, while still allowing for an assessment which allows the setting of national standards.
