WINDHOEK - The Namibia Open College of Learning last week became the first education institution to join Team Namibia.
At the ceremony the director of Namcol, Heraldt Murangi, emphasised the fact that quality education service is related to the purpose of a product or service.
"The perspective of quality is fundamentally relevant to Namcol since we need to provide quality educational ser-vices to our learners by fulfilling their needs, expectations and requirements," Murangi said.
He also announced that countries such as Botswana, Malawi and Swaziland have expressed interest in buying Namcol's Grade 12 study guides.
"It is our commitment to quality and the need to promote home-grown products that mirror the Team Namibia spirit of promoting national products, services and destinations inside the country and beyond. We are happy therefore that our joining the distinguished 'Naturally Namibia' brand today is a testimony of the quality of our products and services," he said.
The chairman of Team Namibia, Tarah Shaanika, formally welcomed Namcol as a member of Team Namibia.
The goodwill ambassador of both the Ministry of Education and Team Namibia, ace musician Gazza, also attended the ceremony.
