Minister for Information and Communications, Krishna Bahadur Mahara has said huge challenges posed to changes in economic and social sectors for progressive transformation of Nepali society though the monarchy that remained as the symbol of feudalism has been abolished.
Inaugurating the seminar on 'Two work-policies of education: total reform and change,' organised here today by All Nepal Teachers' Organisation, Newa State Committee, Minister Mahara said foundation of new Nepal would be based on change in education sector.
Stating that country's social and economic development would not be possible in the absence of total change in education sector, he said his party is on the side of education policy that would provide people with easily accessible education.
Leader of CPN (UML), Pradeep Gyawali said education should be established as people's fundamental right.
NP Saud of Nepali Congress said the government should increase investment in education.
