(40) Students from various schools in the State participated in the first workshop of a series of educational lectures and workshops to be conducted by HMC's Medical Education Center (HMTC) until the end of this month.

Ms. Balghees Al-Khazraji, the coordinator and supervisor of the Health Professions Awareness confirmed the importance of acquainting school students, through orientation and field tours, with the different departments and sections of the Corporation as well as the nature of work in the various clinics in order to encourage them for medical specializations.

Ms. Hilalyah Al-Ameen, in-charge of education and instruction at the Primary Health Centers, in a lecture she delivered to the students on this occasion, said 'health education has a major role to play as an integral part in the process of response to treatment.'

Mr. Hassan Fowad, Nursing supervisor at Clinics Annex (school Health) emphasized 'Health Professions Awareness Committee has actually played an essential role in highlighting the health educational aspects as well as the philosophy of inter-communication between the physician and the patient thing that solicits the volunteers to prefer medical careers.'
