UNESCO continues its support for educational, communication and information programs

SANA'A (Saba) - Minister of Education, chairman of National Committee for Education, Culture and Science Dr. Abdul Salam al -Jawfi discussed on Tuesday with Deputy Director General of UNESCO Marcio Barbosa the educational cooperation relations between Yemen and UNESCO and means of boosting and improving them.

The talks focused on UNESCO support for the basic and higher education, communication, information and culture.

They have also discussed illiteracy and adults education project, possibilities of implementing the 2nd phase of the project.

Al -Jawfi valued the unlimited efforts and support of UNESCO that aims to develop basic, illiteracy and adults education in Yemen.

UNESCO official showed readiness to support the educational program and activities, the communication and information programs to contribute in developing and modernizing these programs considering them one of major interests of the UNESCO.
